Gorman Company’s branch located at 6101 Sawyer Loop Road, Sarasota, FL celebrated the addition of an HVAC department to their offering with a open house on November 10, 2023.
Vendors were on hand conducting a mini-trade show, JB Industries representatives will perform free vacuum pump oil changes, Milwaukee items will be offered at a 10% discount and R410A jugs and pallets had day-of-event special pricing. Lunch, refreshments and giveaways were also part of the celebration.
“Being in a strong HVACR market, the trend of more HVACR contractors adding plumbing to their services and Gorman being a presence in Sarasota for many years resulted in this expansion,” stated Gorman HVAC Manager Brian Harden. “This is the first Gorman to start selling HVAC in Florida, but our parent company, Hajoca Corporation, has roughly 30-50 stores throughout the United States in the HVAC market.”
The Sawyer Loop Road location has two showrooms and a massive warehouse space amounting to roughly 70,000 square feet of space. Additionally, there is the old Macintosh building where overstock products including pipe and septic are stored.
Being located off exit 205 on I-75, the store is conveniently located for the market and same-day delivery is available. There are two delivery cut-offs; if an order is in by 10 a.m. it will be delivered by the end of that day and the 3 p.m. cutoff is for the next morning run. Their service area is from Bradenton/Tampa and as far south as Port Charlotte in the mornings.
Mainline® unitary and ductless equipment is being stocked with a commercial line being added in the future. Contractors will have everything needed to install and service HVAC systems except for air movement products such as duct, registers, collars and plenums.
