HVAC Excellence National HVACR Education Conference Update, April 1, 2024

The United States Department of Energy (DOE), in collaboration with its partner Pacific National Northwest Laboratory, took center stage at the HVAC Excellence National HVACR Education Conference to illuminate Federal funding initiatives aimed at bolstering HVACR education and workforce development. Leveraging Federal Incentives for Training Programs and Contractors

Attendees gained insights into Federal incentives driving the adoption of heat pumps and electrification, along with strategies for marketing and installing high-performance heat pump systems. Preparing the Workforce for a Heat Pump Future

Get Your Program Ready for a Changing Market: Participants learned about the latest advancements in heat pump technology and how to update training programs to prepare students for success in a shifting market landscape. Insights were shared on the capabilities of cold climate heat pumps and the benefits of all-electric systems, along with practical resources provided by the DOE for program implementation.

A general session brought together industry luminaries from the Department of Energy, Daikin, Fujitsu, and the ESCO Institute. During this comprehensive discussion on the future of the HVACR industry, they explored the intersection of government regulations, technological innovations, and workforce development initiatives attendees needed to be aware of, as well as the changes they need to be making now.
