The Manasota Air Conditioning Contractors Association (MACCA) welcomed HVAC professionals from across the region for an engaging and informative evening at its Legislative Update & CEU Event on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the EVEN Hotel Sarasota Lakewood Ranch.
The event featured Edward Briggs,Florida Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (FRACCA) Lobbyist and founder of B&B Capitol Strategies, who provided attendees with a comprehensive overview of the latest legislative priorities, proposed policy changes, and budget implications impacting Florida’s HVAC industry. Attendees also earned one DBPR-approved CEU credit, helping them maintain their professional licensure.
In addition to the legislative briefing, FRACCA President Paul Stehle delivered a timely and much-needed update on the refrigerant transition and current supply shortage — a critical topic affecting HVAC businesses as they prepare for upcoming changes in environmental compliance and equipment availability.
