Over the past several months, I’ve invested a tremendous amount of time building resources through ACprosite.com that are designed specifically to help contractors, distributors, technicians, apprentices, and industry businesses throughout our state.
One of the biggest missed opportunities right now is the ACprosite Workforce Hub.
Every contractor I speak with continues to talk about the challenge of finding qualified people. At the same time, technicians, apprentices, office professionals, and industry support personnel are looking for opportunities closer to home and within companies that value them. The Workforce Hub was created to help bridge that gap with a Florida-focused platform built specifically for our industry, not a generic national job board.
Yet despite the ongoing labor shortage and the approach of another demanding Florida cooling season, participation remains lower than I expected. I truly believe many companies are missing an opportunity to place their openings directly in front of the audience they want to reach. The feature is simple to use, affordable, and targeted specifically to Florida HVACR professionals.
At the same time, one thing that continues to impress me about this industry is its commitment to training and education.
Distributor events, counter days, open houses, product demonstrations, and hands-on technical training opportunities are continuing strong into June throughout Florida. Contractors attending these events are gaining valuable exposure to new products, refrigerant developments, tools, business ideas, and networking opportunities that can help them operate more effectively during one of the busiest times of the year. Be sure to utilize ACprosite’s regional calendar features to locate events and training opportunities taking place near you.
You may also notice something new appearing on ACprosite posts: “Video Inside” tags.
We are well on the way toward rolling out the ACprosite YouTube channel in collaboration with Million Dollar HVAC. The goal is to expand beyond written coverage and begin delivering interviews, event highlights, short clips, and additional industry content in video form while maintaining the Florida-focused perspective ACprosite was built around.
ACprosite continues to evolve because this industry continues to evolve. My goal remains the same: to create a stronger sense of connection, professionalism, advocacy, and opportunity for Florida HVACR professionals.
Thank you for continuing to be part of that effort.
Warm regards,
Peter Montana, Managing Director, ACprosite.com
