Tropic Supply Resource Centers throughout Florida hosted Nu-Calgon counter days during June 2024.
Nu-Calgon representatives discussed how cleaning the indoor coil at the time of installation can minimize opportunities for biological growth and how regular maintenance can prevent condensate problems before they begin.
Nu-Calgon’s four-step process to defeat and control white slime in drain lines was detailed:
- Clean the drain line using Nu-Calgon’s DrainSolve product which can clear clogs on contact.
- Clean the coil using Nu-Calgon’s EvapFresh no-rinse spray, aerosol or foam or Tri-Power, which removes solids as well as oil, a contributing factor to the white slime condition.
- Once that’s done, treat the bottom third of the coil and the drain line with Nu-Calgon’s enzyme-based PowerZyme to help address future clogs and issues for up to three months.
- Treat the drain pan with Nu-Calgon’s pan tabs, gel tabs or strips.
