The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (RACCA) of the Tampa Bay region has announced an educational program featuring an Improved Management Techniques workshop presented in cooperation with the Omni Resource Group, followed by an update on recent changes to the Florida Building Code.
The program will be held Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Ferguson HVAC, 10639 Crossroads Commerce Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33610. The management workshop begins at 2:00 p.m., with the Florida Building Code update immediately following. The program is expected to conclude by 7:30 p.m.
Dennis Harrelson, CEO of Omni Resource Group, will share proven management strategies and practical tools that successful HVAC contractors are using to strengthen their businesses and build high-performance organizations. Topics include:

The second half of the program will feature a discussion of recent Florida Building Code updates moderated by Bob Cochell. A respected HVAC industry leader with more than five decades of experience in application engineering, product planning, equipment sales, and large-scale HVAC contracting, Cochell will provide practical insight into the intent behind the latest code revisions and explain how contractors can confidently apply the changes in the field.
Attendees will receive two continuing education units (2 CEUs). Continuing education credits are provided by The Continuing Education Academy (Provider #0003208).
