The Air Conditioning Contractors Association of Central Florida (ACCA/CF) hosted a “Tips to Pass Inspection” presentation during their September 21, 2023, held at the Maitland Civic Center Venue on the Lake in Maitland, FL.
Over 50 contractors and employees attended, listening to Orange County Chief Mechanical Inspector Ray Pearce discuss significant changes to the Florida Building Code 7th Edition (2020) for the 8th Edition (2023) Mechanical, Fuel Gas and Energy Conservation sections. Ray answered questions from the very engaged attendees following his presentations. He encouraged the contractors to study the code and ask for clarifications from their inspectors about any sections they weren’t clear on.
ACCA/CF President Pat Ambrose concluded the luncheon by recognizing outgoing Executive Director Paula Huband for her hard work and all the accomplishments she achieved during her tenure with the Association. “In the past 8 years Paula has learned to live and breathe air conditioning, to the point that she’s the state representative for the industry.
What she’s done for the ACCA/CF Association can’t be put into words – it’s huge. She’s developed our apprentice program and has initiated similar programs ACCA/CF President Pat Ambrose with outgoing Executive Director Paula Hubandaround the state. I’m glad that she’ll be guiding the transition to Erica Mattis taking over as our executive director and I want everyone to give her a great round of applause for what she’s accomplished.”
