Air Purchases Conducts Beta Testing of New Fujitsu Integrated Control Option and DX-Kit

Air Purchases beta test of Fujitsu equipmentAir Purchases recently had an opportunity to participate in the operational testing of Fujitsu’s new Integrated Control Option (ICO). The ICO allows contractors to operate a Fujitsu ductless or ducted mini-split system in conjunction with a unitary fossil fuel system or boiler to meet requirements for Mass Save® rebates.

The company was also invited to beta test Fujitsu’s add-on electronic expansion valve kit, which allows any properly sized DX coil to be installed on Fujitsu Halcyon™ or Airstage™ VRF outdoor units.

“In more than four decades in the HVACR industry, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen products that offer such growth opportunities for HVAC contractors as Fujitsu’s ductless mini-splits or VRF systems,” said Air Purchases Commercial Sales Manager Tim Conrad. “It’s an exciting time in the industry.”

Contractors can see both the ICO and DX applications installed on live operating equipment at Air Purchases’ 1,500 square-foot training facility in Burlington, where the company provides factory-authorized training for multiple manufacturers. Air Purchases is the only distributor in the Northeast with dedicated Distributor-Qualified Instructors (DQIs) on staff. This Fujitsu-trained team ensures contractors receive expert training in sales, installation, service, and maintenance.

“Contractors attending the classes receive practical training that can be put to use on their very first installation,” said Conrad. “Most of the classes are free, but they do need to register to reserve their seat.” For more information, contact Commercial Sales Manager Tim Conrad or VRF Territory Manager John Davison at 781-273-2050.

Headquartered in Burlington, MA, Air Purchases also has branches in Dedham, Brockton, and Hyannis, MA, and in Manchester, NH, where it is known as Engel HVAC Supply. The company has been serving New England contractors since 1969.
