Bob Engel Jr. Steps Into New Role and Announces Ed Doherty as President of API of NH and Delta T

Bob Engel Jr., President of API of NH and Delta T, has announced that he is transitioning into a new role, with Ed Doherty taking over as president effective January 1.

Bob has worked at API of NH and Delta T for more than 42 years. During his tenure, he and his family have grown the HVAC distribution and sheet metal manufacturing business into one of New England’s finest. Now, Bob will focus on building his personal and professional relationships with employees, customers and vendors.

“I am very excited about this transition, as it will allow me to focus on deepening relationships,” said Bob Engel. “This includes mentoring new members of our rapidly expanding team, working with new and existing customers and vendors as well as sharing my passion for the industry with companies interested in learning more about our family of brands.”

“I am extremely enthusiastic about the future of API with Ed at the helm,” said Bob Engel. “He has dedicated 33 years to API, and his work ethic is unprecedented. Knowing him personally and professionally, I know he will be an outstanding leader.”

Ed Doherty has been with API of NH and Delta T since 1989. He has worked in various departments, including sheet metal, warehouse, counter, and inside and outside sales. He has taken on roles such as branch manager, general manager and sales manager.

“It has been my great honor and privilege to serve API for more than 30 years,” stated Ed Doherty, newly appointed President of API of NH and Delta T. “It’s been an even bigger honor working alongside my mentor, Bob Engel. He was an outstanding president, and I am excited to step into his shoes and continue the legacy, structure and culture the Engel family has built for the last four decades.”

Munch’s Supply, a Marcone company and a leading Midwest-based HVAC distributor, acquired API of NH and Delta T in 2021. “I look forward to Bob’s continued contribution in his new role,” said Kevin Baxter, President of HVAC at Munch’s Supply/Marcone, “and am excited to work with Ed to continue to grow and strengthen our businesses.”
