CE hosted a Factory Authorized Dealer (FAD) meeting for their central Florida Bryant and Carrier dealers on April 3, 2019 at Leu Gardens in Orlando, FL. Themed “Everything You Need for Your Business to Succeed,” the meeting provided an industry overview, VRF, ductless and unitary product updates and marketing and e-commerce programs.
CE Distribution Senior Vice President Joe Muley opened the meeting by welcoming the contractors and describing some structural changes that are being put into effect to streamline distribution and make locations more convenient for contractors. Joe also touched on the state of the industry in Florida.
Dave Lucas, CE Florida Director of Engineered Systems Support and VRF Products, stated that Carrier and Toshiba have put together a ductless product portfolio that is as comprehensive as any in the market. He announced that CE is creating kits for mini splits that provide everything needed for an installation under a single part number depending on the size of the units. Dave also provided an overview of the single zone an multi zone products available.
Two new products were introduced, the Carrier Infinity® Series air purifier and the Carrier EcoBlue™ Technology rooftop unit fans.
The Carrier Infinity® Series air purifier doesn’t just filter air, its Captures and Kills™ technology also addresses airborne pathogens such as bacteria, viruses and mold. This whole house air cleaner also re-purifies circulated indoor air as many as 8 times an hour.
The Carrier EcoBlue™ Technology features an industry-first beltless indoor fan system for rooftop units. The exclusive direct-drive vane axial fan system replaces traditional belts and pulleys with a simpler, more compact design, all with 75% fewer moving parts.
CE North/Central Florida Sales Manager Curtis Unger concluded the meeting by encouraging the dealers to utilize CE as their go-to source for all their parts and supplies needs and thanked them for their support and attendance.
