The Ferguson Orlando branch located at 10355 S. Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL hosted a ductless equipment day on September 21, 2023, to introduce the addition of HVAC equipment and parts to the store’s offerings.
“We are expanding some of the traditional plumbing supply locations to include HVAC equipment and parts throughout Florida in order to better serve our growing contractor base,” stated Ferguson HVAC Florida Business Development Manager Lander Claassen. “Many of our plumbing contractor customers have expanded to include HVAC and HVAC contractors are adding plumbing divisions to their businesses, making this a wise strategic move. With ductless product sales being the fastest-growing segment of the air conditioning market, we wanted to highlight our commitment to that sector by having this event.”
Durastar, Fujitsu and Westinghouse ductless products, each with their own distinct features, were on display.
Ferguson HVAC Ductless Category Sales Specialist Adam Nelson described the differences between the brands. “Durastar is a new brand offered exclusively at Ferguson, offering up to 18 SEER efficiencies with a 10 and 10 warranty at a very competitive price point. Westinghouse has partnered with Fujitsu in developing multi-position air handlers which we have in stock and Fujitsu has the most robust offering with a dealer program and up to 36-ton capacities.”
“New product developments rolling out at the end of this year are a Durastar 3-ton 1 to 1 wall mount system, and, more importantly, a Durastar system consisting of a side-discharge condenser with a traditional multi-position air handler. The unique part is you can do multi-zoning by combining a wall-mount air handler with it,” Adam added.

Once we enter the order in our system, the customer receives a text with a one-time user barcode. The customer picks up the order at their convenience by scanning the code with their smartphone. When the locker is shut, an invoice and proof of delivery are sent out automatically.”
