The Florida Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (FRACCA) golf tournament held April 8, 2026 at the Eagle Creek Golf Course in Orlando was a fitting way to kick off this year’s Educational Conference.
Eighteen teams enjoyed a morning of exercise, conversation and friendly competition as It proved to be a nice day for the outing, though a little bit windy at the start. Some of the final teams to finish were doused with a sprinkle of rain as they dashed to the clubhouse with their scorecards.
Several of the companies exhibiting at the conference joined more than a dozen hole sponsors in supporting the tournament. Some set up tents along the course, offering refreshments and snacks to the competitors and spending a few moments getting to know the players.
A Mexican themed lunch of tortillas, pork, chicken, rice, beans and salad nourished the golfers in advance of the awards presentations.
Longest Drive winners were Yolanda Perez for the women and Christian Jenkinson for the men. Closest to the Pin winners were Tracy Capobianco for the women and Mauricio Tibaduiza for the men.
In the team competitions, Brock Allen, Mauricio Tibaduiza and Michael Zeppi placed 3rd with a score of 62, Robert Johnson, Jeff Stephens, Trevor Gay and Mike Odell placed 2nd with a score of 61 while Dolph & Josh Marmeschke, Orlando Vasquez and John Zellener walked away with the 1st place trophy.
Companies receiving special recognition were Affinity sponsors Omni Resource Group, Federated Insurance and FAMCO; beverage cart sponsors Refricenter and York; breakfast sponsor Ferguson HVAC; lunch sponsor AC Maxtech and towels, golf balls and tees sponsor iAIR.
The day’s activities concluded with the competitors relaxing and collecting their raffle prizes.
