The Goodman Distribution branch located at 6516 NW 18 Dr, Gainesville, FL 32653 hosted a customer appreciation open house on September 26, 2018. Visitors enjoyed a BBQ lunch and entered a raffle for a variety of gifts. The grand prize was a 55-inch 4K Smart TV.
Regional Goodman representatives were on hand, along with Michael Hollis and Mike Winkel of Cain Sales. Branch Manager Janise Miller and her team were recognized for their outstanding recycling efforts. In addition to cardboard recycling, their reusable bag discount program and thermostat recycling, the team identified a waste minimization opportunity in the way No-vent locking caps are packaged.
“Reduced packaging would translate into less repackaging labor, lower cycle times, less raw materials, reduced waste and cost savings,” Goodman Manufacturing Environmental, Health and Safety Director Satara Henry said in a statement recognizing the branch.
