The Manasota Air Conditioning Contractors Association (MACCA) Apprentice Program held an Aluminum Coil Repair training class as part of its Education Series.
Tod Sutherland with Tropic Supply along with Gil Ledoux, Sal Hamidi of PED & Associates, and Earl Miller from Uniweld facilitated the training. This event provided a technical overview and a range of hands-on training including but not limited to
brazing with nitrogen, keeping system and metering devices clear of contaminants and working with aluminum.
The event was held Monday, April 24, 2023, at Suncoast Technical College 4748 Beneva Road, Sarasota, FL 34233 and was open to apprentice students and MACCA members.
The MACCA HVAC/R Apprentice program allows individuals to learn the skills required for residential HVAC/R installation and service trade while working in a full-time paid employment position.
