The Manasota Air Conditioning Contractors Association (MACCA) recognized their 2025 Apprentice Program Graduates during a banquet held on July 9th at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sarasota Bradenton Airport. The evening was filled with excitement, and a strong sense of community as employers, families and guests came together to honor the hard work and achievements of the talented apprentices.
Attendees enjoyed dinner and a networking session from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and then the party got started, complete with a DJ, light show and rotating selfie carousel, making it a very unique and memorable graduation program.
Dan Jeffs, Sales Leader – Supply at Trane Technologies MCed the event, thanking the many program sponsors and setting the stage for the evening.
Curtis Miccichi, 2025 MACCA President, congratulated the graduates , stating “These students in both our one-year and three-year programs are putting out a lot of effort, working all day and then going to school one or two nights a week and they deserve a lot of credit.”
Current FRACCA President Paul Stehle addressed the crowd, providing a brief history of MACCA and sharing some of his experiences with hands-on training provided by his father. “You’re the next generation for this industry, but you’re not the final generation. We’ll leave it up to you to build it and I trust that you can and know you will. What you do will be guided by your moral compass, your ethical compass. And each one of you has one, and you have to choose whether you’re going to follow it or not. Follow it and remember that your customers are looking for you to do the best thing for them. Make sure you are. Go out there and make a living. Go out there and make a company. Go out and make the industry better. You have chosen a great profession and a great future for you and your family. And remember, your family matters. Your support system is everything guys.”
Paul encouraged the graduates to share how great the HVAC trade is and invite their friends to consider it and in closing stated “Be proud of yourself. Do what’s right, you’ll be able to look yourself in the mirror and say, when I left that job, I should have taken a picture of how good a job I did.”
The 2025 three-year Sarasota Technical College program graduates were Joseph Brown, Rey Perez, Mihail Penney & Kaleb Giguere.
Joseph Brown was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate of the three-year Sarasota Technical College program.
The 2025 one-year Manatee Technical College program graduates were Francisco Garrido, Franco Zambrano-Jimenez, Jansser Lanza, Ethan Hummer, Ryan Harrison, Nicholas Tran, Jesse Davis and Boris Pascal.
Ryan Harrison was recognized as Outstanding Graduate and Jansser Lanza earned Honorable mention for the one-year program.
