ProIAQ Founder Ron Saunders Announces Expanded Support for WHVACR, Reinforcing Commitment to Industry Growth, Mentorship & Education

ProIAQ, a leader in indoor air quality solutions, announced its expanded support of Women in HVACR (WHVACR), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women through networking, mentorship, and education across the HVACR industry.

As part of this expanded commitment, ProIAQ has stepped into a new role as the organization’s first-ever Guardian Sponsor, signaling a deeper level of support beyond traditional sponsorship.

“What stands out about Women in HVACR is the impact,” said Ron Saunders, founder of ProIAQ. “They’ve built a strong, connected community that’s helping move the industry forward. That’s something we believe in and want to support in a bigger way.”

Founded in 2002, Women in HVACR has grown into a nationally recognized organization focused on improving the lives of its members by providing professional avenues to connect with other women growing their careers in the HVACR industry. The organization supports women across all roles, from technicians and contractors to executives and educators, through mentorship, education, and networking opportunities.

“This isn’t just a sponsorship for us, it’s a deeper commitment to supporting the mission of Women in HVACR and the incredible work they’re doing to help women connect, grow, and build lasting careers,” Saunders added. “We’ve taken that next step because we believe in what they’re building and the impact it’s having across the industry.”

As the HVACR industry continues to evolve, workforce development and talent retention remain critical priorities. Industry leaders increasingly recognize the importance of expanding access to training, mentorship, and leadership pathways to support long-term growth.

“Support from companies like ProIAQ plays an important role in advancing our mission,” said Jane Sidebottom, 2026 President of Women in HVACR. “Our organization is focused on creating opportunities for women to succeed through education, mentorship, and connection. When industry partners step up in this way, it strengthens the entire HVACR community, and we are grateful for that.”

ProIAQ’s support will contribute to ongoing initiatives focused on professional development, networking opportunities, and educational programming designed to help members grow their careers and expand their impact within the HVACR industry.

Investing in people remains central to the philosophy of ProIAQ.

“This industry has always been built on people who show up, put in the work, and help the next person along,” Saunders said. “When you support that kind of environment, you’re not just helping individuals. You’re strengthening the future of the industry.”

Women in HVACR continues to gain momentum as a leading organization supporting professional advancement and community-building for women across the HVACR sector.
