On April 24th, the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (RACCA) of Tampa Bay hosted its “Throwdown” Social & Membership Drive event at Stumpy’s Hatchet House, located at 13353 West Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa, FL. The evening proved to be a dynamic mix of networking, camaraderie, and entertainment centered around a spirited hatchet-throwing competition.
The event brought together HVAC professionals from across the region for an engaging evening of fun and professional connection. Attendees were welcomed with a complimentary drink ticket, courtesy of RACCA’s Membership Committee, with additional beverages available for purchase throughout the night.
RACCA was proud to partner with several generous sponsors who contributed to the event’s success. John Jones Insurance served as the event sponsor, while Federated Insurance provided the Publix party platters and Ultravation sponsored a series of exciting door prizes.
One of the evening’s highlights was the raffle, where several lucky attendees walked away with prizes, including:
- Shanna Pettis of Gulf Coast Air Systems, who won a $50 gift card to Stumpy’s, provided by Ultravation, along with an entry to the November 1st Turkey Shoot.
- A $75 Carrabba’s gift card, also courtesy of Ultravation, and an entry to the Turkey Shoot.
- A $150 Fleming’s gift card, sponsored by Ultravation, plus another entry to the Turkey Shoot.
RACCA President Renee Pagan closed the event with a word of thanks to all who attended and supported the gathering, stating, “It’s the perfect opportunity to meet fellow professionals in the HVAC industry, share ideas, and potentially grow your network while having fun!”
The “Throwdown” was not only a memorable night of entertainment and socializing but also a successful initiative in strengthening the RACCA community and expanding its network. The association looks forward to hosting more events like this in the future.
