HVACR techs from Orlando and as far as Miami came together on October 3 and 4, 2024 in the west coast of Florida to learn how to diagnose and prevent compressor failure in HVAC systems.
Sponsored by the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (RACCA) of Tampa Bay, Trane Supply and CRG, the classes were held at Trane’s Tampa and Clearwater locations.
Instructor Bob Feathers of HVAC Specialties TAC, Ft. Myers, shared his extensive 30 plus years’ industry experience with attendees.
Paula DeSantis-Tarris with Trane noted the classes were a good opportunity for companies to provide techs with the knowledge to increase the life of compressors and customer satisfaction and lower cost of repeat service calls.
From the perspective of an attendee, Integrity Refrigeration and A/C Service Technician Supervisor Vipul Patel stated the company was pleased to see technical education of this caliber available for their technicians. Their employees came away from the workshop with a better overall understanding of compressors and specifically scroll compressors. It was an eye opener for them.
Cheryl Harris of CRG expressed her appreciation to Trane for the use of their training rooms in Clearwater and Tampa and sponsoring the breakfast.
