More than 100 Tampa area contractors and guests participated in the 2026 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (RACCA) Tampa Bay 2026 Sporting Clays event held on Saturday, May 14, 2026. The weather at Tampa Bay Sporting Clays Club in Land O’ Lakes, FL was perfect as the teams of shooters headed for the stations.
After the smoke settled and the sound of echoing shots faded, Russ Thompson of Air Pro West Coast Air Conditioning & Tommy Nosworthy of Chris’ AC faced each other in a shootout to determine the top male and overall winner. Russ emerged victorious.
The competitors enjoyed a lunch catered by Mission BBQ as the scores were tallied with these results:
1st Place Male and 1st Place Overall shooter: Russ Thompson of Air Pro West Coast Air Conditioning.
1st Place Female: Lois Yassanye of Air Pro West Coast Air Conditioning.
1st Place Team: Air Pro West Coast Air Conditioning, Darin Yassanye, Lois Yassanye, Russ Thompson & Scott Neumann.
2nd Place Team: Air Pro West Coast Air Conditioning, Ben Rasico, George Evans, Aaron Cremona & Eric Mendez.
3rd Place Team: Chris’ AC, Ty Garrison, Tommy Nosworthy, Bryan Mason & Melissa Nosworthy
Special guest Erica Mattis, Florida Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (FRACCA) Executive Director, invited everyone to attend this year’s FRACCA Educational Conference in Orlando. The event, taking place April 9 – 12, 2026 at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, is also a celebration of RACCA’s 25th Anniversary. The 1st Annual FRACCA Golf Tournament will be taking place April 8, the day before the conference begins. More information can be found at the conference website.
