ACprosite kicked off coverage of the 2025 Contractors Associations Fall Golf Circuit with the Gainesville Air Conditioning Contractors Association (GACCA) tournament at the Turkey Creek Golf & Country Club in Archer, FL. The field was packed with 23 teams and 89 players, and the vibe was all business meets fun: cash payouts for the top three teams, a lively raffle table, and plenty of shop talk between swings.
The format was a Shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. with awards, sponsor recognition, lunch catered by Creeks 19th, and raffles at the conclusion of play in the Sunset Room.
Tournament organizers included TJ Young and Mark Browning of Browning Heating & Air, LLC, alongside Dylan Holbrook and Chris Winkel of Baker Distributing. Mark Browning handled awards presentations, sponsor recognitions and closing remarks.
“I want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting our 2025 GACCA Golf Tournament. We had a great turnout,” Browning said. “We also thank our sponsors and volunteers. Without them, this event wouldn’t have been possible.”
A tie for 1st place made for a dramatic finish.
After a scorecard playoff on a randomly selected hole, the 1st Place $800 prize and trophies were presented to Team Coleman Services: Reiss Coleman, Nick Tripp, Nick Margjoni and Bo Dean.
The 2nd Place $600 prize was awarded to Team Browning Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC: Thomas Young, Hutson Chandler and Phil Young.
The 3rd Place $400 prize was collected by Team Federated Insurance: Jarrod Wilkins, Zach Shaw, Clint Lee and Darren Skawienski.
Continuing a fun tradition, the “worst of the worst” also earned a prize after a last-place tie and scorecard playoff, with the 1974 Dog Show Championship Trophies being awarded to Team MSI Certified Contractors: Damon Thomas, Ryan Higginbotham, Jarret Sinclair and Robby Jacobs.
Golfing skills winners were Darren Skawienski, Longest Drive, Ryan Czir, Closest to Pin hole #4, Nick Tripp, Closest to Pin Hole #8, Rob Shriver, Closest to Pin Hole #14 and Matt Dove, Closest to Pin Hole #17.

GACCA expects to return in Fall 2026 with another golf tournament and is exploring a Spring 2026 Sporting Clays Shoot, two solid opportunities for Florida HVAC contractors, distributors, reps, and friends of the trade to network, recruit, and support local association programs.
