Tropic Supply Resource Centers across Florida gave contractors valuable opportunities this spring to sharpen their skills as select locations hosted expert-led Cooper&Hunter mini-split systems training sessions during March and April 2026.
The training series brought in two experienced Cooper&Hunter professionals to guide attendees through both technical and business-focused instruction.
Leading the hands-on technical side was Kostiantyn Kukhar, a Cooper&Hunter Lead Engineer with dual master’s degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering and more than 13 years of installation experience specializing in advanced HVAC systems. His sessions focused on helping contractors improve installation quality, reduce errors, minimize callbacks, and maximize system performance.
Joining him was Edwin Velez, National Account Manager for Cooper&Hunter USA. With more than nine years helping grow the brand’s U.S. presence, Velez shared strategies on positioning ductless mini-split systems with customers, building value-driven conversations, and increasing close rates through financing options and ROI discussions.
The sessions also highlighted profitable maintenance opportunities, teaching attendees how a stronger understanding of system operation and field considerations can lead to better service recommendations and profitable upsells.
For Florida contractors looking to grow their ductless business while improving technical performance, the Tropic Supply and Cooper&Hunter partnership delivered practical training with immediate real-world value.
