Regal Rexnord representatives presented the features and benefits of their particular brands of motors, how Gentech OEM and Evergreen aftermarket motors utilize pulse-width modulation (PWM) controllers in Ruud equipment and best practices for troubleshooting ECM motors in general.
The seminars began with a brief history of the Regal Rexnord Genteq® brand, including that their Regal divisions first introduced ECM technology to the residential HVAC industry in 1987, changing the industry by providing unmatched efficiency as well as comfort options not possible with PSC induction motors.
The Genteq Evergreen® line of ECM blower motors enable the reduction of inventory from 32 PSC motors to 3 ECM motors, increasing the value for the dealer, installer and homeowner.
The classes offered 2 NATE Continuing Education Credits and each attendee was entered into a drawing for a TECINspect® variable speed motor diagnostic tool.
