After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 virus, Johnstone Supply The Ware Group resumed hosting their popular open houses in October, 2022. Their last open house was at their Sanford location on March 10, 2020, the first one scheduled for that year.
This year’s schedule was scaled back to include events in Dania Beach, Brandon, Orlando and Tallahassee, FL and Columbia, SC.
Will Rust of Goodman/Amana (Daikin Comfort Technologies) conducted training sessions prior to the open houses regarding changes in Department of Energy HVAC system M1 testing procedures resulting in lower SEER2 equipment ratings and the effects on the Goodman/Amana product platforms.
Over 25 vendor representatives were on hand, highlighting new products, performing demonstrations, discussing industry trends and providing resources.
As usual, attendees received terrific door prizes and samples along with raffle entries for a variety of prizes including a 75” LG UHD TV, a Fresh-Aire UV APCO-X MAG UV lamp and numerous gift cards. Hill’s BBQ continued a two-decades-long tradition of catering the delicious lunch.
“We didn’t know what to expect as we were planning the open houses but have been pleasantly surprised by the turnouts,” stated Chris Ware, Chairman of The Ware Group. “I think the desire by people to get out and socialize again has been borne out by the support we’ve received from our contractor friends.”
