The new Baker Distributing branch located at 1621 South County Line Rd., Plant City, FL 33566 hosted their Grand Opening celebration on March 13, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The branch has been open since February 10, 2020.
The event featured specials on products, door prizes and a tradeshow conducted by several manufacturer representatives. The Jazzy B Grille food truck catered lunch, serving a variety of specialty sandwiches and sides.
Plant City Mayor Rick Lott, City Manager Bill McDaniel and City Commissioner Bill Dodson were among the guests attending the grand opening.
Occupying 26,000 square feet of space, the facility features 2,800 square feet of showroom and a conference/training room. In addition to nearly doubling the size of the branch, the new location has plenty of parking and is conveniently located to serve the Plant City/Lakeland market.
Branch Manager T.J. Uhrich is assisted with day-to-day operations by Josh Nazario (assistant manager/counter lead), Donna Hall (refrigeration specialist), Steven Dennard (counter sales), Mike Guerra (warehouse manager/counter), Maurice Daniels (warehouse driver) and Rob Meador (sales/commercial refrigeration division).
“I’m glad we had such a great turnout to showcase this facility’s grand opening,” T.J. Uhrich stated. “Thank you to our contractor friends for stopping by and our vendor partners for donating the prizes and putting forth the effort to support us. I am honored that Mayor Lott, City Manager McDaniel and City Commissioner Dodson were able to join us today.
