Ferguson HVAC Celebrates 39th Annual Christmas Party

Ferguson HVAC celebrated their 39th Annual Christmas party benefiting Hope Children’s Home on December 12, 2019 at their facility located at 10639 Crossroads Commerce Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33610. Several hundred customers, friends and vendors attended the event, enjoying the socializing, networking, lunch catered by Johnson’s BBQ and listening to the Hope Children’s Home choir sing Christmas carols. There was face painting and a beanbag-toss game on hand for the benefit of the children and young-at-heart adults. The children helped distribute the raffle drawing prizes at the end of the event.

Thirty-nine years ago, Gulf Refrigeration, acquired by Ferguson HVAC in 2006, had a scrawny little Christmas tree on the counter of their Anderson Road location in Tampa with no lights and few decorations. A customer declared it the saddest tree he had ever seen and asked a counter salesman, Fred Parrulli, for a paper clip. The customer pinned a dollar to the tree. As Christmas approached, more and more money covered the tree. On Christmas Eve, the money was delivered to the Hope Children’s Home in Tampa and a tradition was born. This year a record $12,593 was raised for the Home.

Ferguson HVAC Florida General Manager Jeremy Barnes welcomed everyone and shared his appreciation for the attendance by the Hope Children’s Home. “It is really heartwarming to have the Hope Children’s Home be a part of this celebration and we thank everyone for contributing so generously to such a worthy organization.”

Celebrating 50 years of rescuing children, Hope Children’s Home is a faith-based non-profit organization that cares for children that have been discarded, abused, unwanted, orphaned or simply in situations where a parent just needed help. The charity has rescued nearly 5,000 children between the ages of infant to 18 years old.
