Apprentices in the Manasota Air Conditioning Contractors Association (MACCA) training program recently participated in a hands-on educational session focused on ECM (Electronically Commutated Motor) technology, strengthening their technical skills and preparing them for real-world HVAC service work.
The training provided apprentices with an in-depth look at ECM motor types, installation practices, and troubleshooting strategies commonly encountered in the field. Through interactive instruction and hands-on application, students were able to connect classroom learning with practical jobsite scenarios.
The session was led by Ken Darin of Regal Rexnord, who shared industry expertise and guided apprentices through key concepts in a clear and practical format. His instruction helped reinforce technical confidence and problem-solving skills when working with ECM systems.
Programs like this reflect MACCA’s continued commitment to developing the next generation of skilled HVAC professionals through structured apprenticeship training and real-world learning opportunities.
