Johnstone Supply Roadshow Wraps Up Successful Multi-City Resideo Academy Training Tour

Kevin Smith, Technical Training Specialist from Resideo Academy

The Johnstone Supply Roadshow recently concluded its multi-city training tour, bringing hands-on technical education directly to HVAC contractors across Florida. Stopping in Dania, Brandon, Orlando, and Jacksonville, the events paired Johnstone Supply’s local expertise with the advanced manufacturing insights of Resideo Academy.

Led by Kevin Smith, Technical Training Specialist from Resideo Academy, the sessions provided local technicians and business owners with the exact tools, product knowledge, and application strategies needed to thrive in today’s demanding home comfort market.

The core of the curriculum focused on maximizing the potential of Resideo’s widely trusted thermostat lineups. Kevin Smith walked attendees through a deep dive into FocusPRO® and ElitePRO® features, highlighting system compatibility and troubleshooting.

Instead of just focusing on the hardware, the training shifted the perspective toward whole-home solution opportunities, showing contractors how to match specific homeowners’ needs with the right equipment configurations.

Given the demanding Florida climate, the dehumidification segment of the course was incredibly timely. Attendees learned how to confidently size, select, and install the correct dehumidification systems for a wide variety of residential applications.

By combining cutting-edge smart home controls with robust IAQ and dehumidification strategies, the Johnstone Roadshow equipped local HVAC pros to deliver superior comfort while boosting their average ticket size.
