The North Florida Air Conditioning Contractors Association (NFACCA) provided members with an “Industry Check-in” during their general meeting held on October 8, 2020 at the Edward Ball Building City of Jacksonville offices.
Florida Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (FRACCA) President Rick Sims presented “HVAC Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” illustrating some of the shoddy installations found around the state and FRACCA lobbyist Clayton Osteen of Cotney Construction Lobbying discussed Chapter 558 of the Florida Statutes and the issues seen in construction defect litigation and potential ways to reduce exposure.
A brief summary of changes to the building code was also presented.
