Q-PAC Announces Fan-Only and Fused Disconnect Control Panel Options for Greater Flexibility

Engineered for Seamless System Setup and Dependable Airflow Management in Any Commercial HVAC Environment

Q-PAC, a leader in the design and manufacturing of advanced commercial HVAC fan systems, announces two newly released control panel options: the Fan-Only and Fused Disconnect solutions. These options formally join Q-PAC’s lineup of Basic and Premium Control Panels, providing engineers, contractors, and facility teams with expanded choices and streamlined integration for every HVAC fan project need.

Both the Fan-Only and Fused Disconnect options are designed to maximize flexibility and compatibility. The Fan-Only option enables straightforward connection of the Q-PAC Multimotor Plenum Fan (MPF) to existing or third-party BMS controls, making it ideal for retrofits, upgrades, or cost-sensitive projects where a custom control strategy is desired. The design ensures optimal performance with minimal effort for install by leveraging the Q-PAC Fan Controller’s single point of power and control. The power and controls from the BMS will land directly at a single connection point on the Fan Controller, which manages all motors together as one fan. The straightforward design allows for simple setup and quick installation.

The Fused Disconnect option provides essential local power isolation and fused protection for safety, while allowing the addition of custom or advanced control equipment as needed. Built for real-world reliability, Q-PAC offers Schneider’s VisiPacT fused safety switch; it serves as a dependable lockout line-of-sight disconnect, ensuring power can be safely isolated during daily operations and emergencies. Tested to triple the NEMA standard, this configuration provides robust, ready-to-deploy protection and a versatile foundation for broader system integration in demanding commercial and industrial environments.

Q-PAC’s Premium and Basic Fan Control Panels remain trusted solutions distinguished by safety, reliability, and simplicity. Fully assembled, factory-wired, and tested, each panel includes features such as a Hand-Off-Auto switch, integrated safety circuit, and fan status indicators for easy operation and maintenance. The Premium Control Panel, UL 508A-rated, features a touchscreen HMI, BACnet MSTP/IP connectivity, safety interlocks, fireman override, and real-time monitoring for advanced applications and full building automation. The Basic Control Panel is a practical and cost-effective option that delivers essential controls and protection, perfect for straightforward installations and smaller air handlers.

Whether fully configured with a Premium or Basic Control Panel or integrated via the new Fan-Only or Fused Disconnect options, Q-PAC ensures seamless installation, reliable performance, and intelligent energy management. The expanded product lineup underscores Q-PAC’s commitment to designing for real-world HVAC demands. Products are developed to meet the full spectrum of system requirements while creating simple and maintenance-free processes for facility teams in the field.
