Tropic Supply hosted a series of Ruud Endeavor and A2L refrigerant update classes at locations throughout Florida during March and April.
Jamie Fore, Ruud District Technical Representative and Wade Hadaway, Ruud District Sales Manager discussed the Ruud® Endeavor™ product lineup developed in response to the tougher Department of Energy regulations. Rather than simply making Ruud products larger to achieve the increased efficiencies, Ruud reengineered them from the ground up to create their most energy-efficient, reliable, capable and sustainable lineup ever.
Rob Howard of Honeywell Refrigerant manufacturer representative EV Dunbar Company conducted the A2L refrigerant portion of the classes. He provided a review of regulatory legislation – where we have been, where we are and where we are going, the properties of A2L refrigerants and how to transport and handle them.
Best practices for installing and servicing equipment containing low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants were also presented.
Time was allotted before and after the sessions for the attendees to explore A2L compatible tools with representatives from Inficon, CPS, Yellow Jacket, Fieldpiece and Navac.
Attendees who scored 70% or higher on the tests that were administered after the presentations received a certificate of completion that can be used to obtain three (3) hours of NATE continuing education credits.
