Another Air Angels Story of Community in Action

Contributed by Jenn Beaudry, NFACCA Executive Director

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson with Brandon Humphries of Tropic Aire

Some background from the editor: The North Florida Air Conditioning Contractors Association (NFACCA) is a proud supporter of the Air Angels Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to providing comfort to those who are Serving our Country, First Responders and seriously ill or disabled & do not have the means or ability to provide it for themselves. This may include repairing or replacing an existing air conditioning system or providing air conditioning for a home that does not have it.

One of the most meaningful parts of the Air Angels Foundation is being able to step in when a family truly needs help — and this week was another powerful reminder of what can happen when our industry comes together.

We recently received a request for assistance from a homeowner who we helped last year through the Air Angels program. This time, they reached out because their HVAC system kept tripping the breaker, leaving them worried and unsure what was going on.

The team at Weather Engineers quickly stepped up and agreed to go back out to the home to take a look. Once onsite, they realized this situation required additional help and that an electrician needed to be involved immediately.

The culprit – a malfunctioning breaker in the Anderson’s main electrical panel

That’s when the Tropic Aire team jumped into action, working alongside Brandon Humphries to get to the home as quickly as possible. What they discovered was a serious electrical issue that could have become dangerous if left unresolved.

Thanks to their quick response, teamwork, and willingness to help, this homeowner can now safely run their HVAC system again.

The Air Angels Foundation would like to extend our sincere gratitude to:

  • Weather Engineers for responding quickly and identifying the issue
  • Brandon Humphries for stepping in to help
  • The Tropic Aire team for working swiftly to get this family taken care of

This is exactly what Air Angels is all about — contractors and industry partners coming together to support members of our community when they need it most.

When our industry works together, lives are impacted in the best possible way.
