Gorman Company’s branch located at 6101 Sawyer Loop Road, Sarasota, FL will be celebrating the addition of an HVAC department to their offering with a open house on November 10, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Vendors will conduct a mini-trade show, JB Industries representatives will perform free vacuum pump oil changes, Milwaukee items will be offered at a 10% discount and R410A jugs and pallets will have day-of-event special pricing. Lunch, refreshments and giveaways will also be a part of the celebration.
Gorman Company, a division of Hajoca Corporation, has been a staple of the plumbing and pooling business in Sarasota for many years. The strength of the HVACR market in the area and the trend of more HVACR contractors adding plumbing to their services drove the expansion into that sector. “We decided to go, and go big,” stated Gorman HVAC Manager Brian Harden. “This will be the first Gorman to start selling HVAC in Florida, but Hajoca has roughly 30-50 stores throughout the United States in the HVAC market.”
Gorman is well positioned to enter the HVACR market in Sarasota. The Sawyer Loop Road location has two showrooms and a massive warehouse space amounting to roughly 70,000 square feet of space. Additionally, there is the old Macintosh building where overstock products including pipe and septic are stored.
Being located off exit 205 on I-75, the store is conveniently located for the market and same-day delivery is available. According to Brian, “We service all around us, typically we will go as far north as Bradenton/ Tampa or to the top of the island in the mornings. And we go as far south as Port Charlotte in the mornings. We offer same day delivery, to jobsites, to homes, you name it and we will find a way to get your material there. We have two delivery cut-offs, if your order is in by 10am it will get to you by the end of that day and our 3 pm cutoff for the next morning run.”
Mainline® unitary and ductless equipment is being stocked with a commercial line being added in the future. Contractors will have everything needed to install and service HVAC systems except for air movement products such as duct, registers, collars and plenums.
Brian Harden and family have been in the Sarasota market and HVAC industry for decades and he will use his experience to train and support the counter and sales teams that will be serving the area contractors.
